    Дело в Верховном суде США [ Supreme Court, U.S.], решение по которому (1952) стало одним из немногих прецедентов ограничения полномочий президента США. Суд определил, что президент Г. Трумэн [ Truman, Harry S.] превысил свои конституционные полномочия, когда дал указание министру торговли [ Secretary of Commerce] взять под личный контроль работу сталелитейной промышленности в стране в связи с трудовым конфликтом и стачкой, которые грозили снижением уровня производства стали во время войны в Корее [ Korean War]. В частности, министру предписывалось в случае необходимости конфисковывать предприятия отрасли. Суд указал, что такого рода меры правомочен принимать только Конгресс США
